Young Women

We really want to help you all have an awesome time at camp! Check out these resources to help you feel prepared:

Come prepared
Copy and print the packing list. Put check marks as you pack. Don't pack the night before. Give your parents time to help you buy or borrow needed items.
Prepare spiritually. Bring your scriptures, your journal, and an open heart.
Prepare physically: If you're not used to being active, start going on walks and getting some exercise before camp. Not only will you feel better, but you'll enjoy camp so much more.

Attitude is everything
Decide you're going to like camp before you go. However you make up your mind about camp, that is how it will be.
Be a winner, not a whiner. You win in every situation where you stay positive. Complaining only brings yourself and others down. Look for the good.
Be inclusive
It's easy to latch onto people you know but reaching out to someone you don't know can make all the difference to them.
Sit by someone you don't know and introduce yourself, invite others to join you for free time activities. Make sure people aren't feeling left out.
Serve with a smile
Serve the young women. Make someone's bed, do her chores, write a nice note and put it in her mailbox, be a listening ear, give a compliment etc.
Serve your leaders. Be helpful. Do what they ask and find things to do without being asked.

Soak it in
Take advantage of the opportunity to get away from the distractions of the world. Electronics will all be there when you get home. Girls' camp happens once a year. Soak in all the wonder of the world. Listen to the water in the creek, listen to the birds, look at the leaves on the trees and the blue sky, and smell the flowers and fresh air.
